Melbourne Creative Studio
Lead times
All pieces from Melbourne Creative Studio are custom made and produced to order. Each item is individually handcrafted, and lead times are required to ensure quality and attention to detail.
Standard lead times
Handkerchiefs: 4+ weeks
Custom veils: 6+ weeks
Veil embroidery service: 6+ weeks from receipt of the veil
Peak periods
During peak wedding and holiday periods (October to March), please allow an additional 3+ weeks on standard lead times due to increased demand.
Rush orders
Rush orders may be available depending on studio capacity and must be confirmed prior to ordering.
Rush handkerchiefs: $44 fee
Rush veils: $165 fee (subject to availability and workload approval)
Rush orders may be completed in as little as 7 days, depending on current schedule, however this is not guaranteed and must be confirmed in writing prior to acceptance.
Important notes
Lead times refer to production time only and do not include shipping time.
Production begins once payment is received and the order is confirmed.
If multiple items are ordered, the longest lead time applies as items are produced together and shipped as one order.
Shipping
All orders are shipped Australia wide and internationally.
Processing and dispatch
Once your order is completed, please allow 1–2 business days for processing and dispatch.
Domestic shipping (Australia)
Orders are shipped via Australia Post or equivalent tracked services. Options may include:
Tracked letter (smaller items)
Parcel post with tracking and signature on delivery
Express services where available
All domestic orders include tracking.
Typical delivery timeframes are 1–8 business days depending on location and service selected.
International shipping
International orders are shipped via tracked international postal services.
Delivery timeframes vary depending on destination and service selected. These timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing or local postal delays.
Duties and taxes
Where applicable, import duties and taxes are included or covered where possible by Melbourne Creative Studio at the time of dispatch.
However, any additional charges imposed by customs or local authorities in the destination country remain the responsibility of the customer.
Responsibility and delays
Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility transfers to the postal carrier.
Melbourne Creative Studio is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by Australia Post or international carriers. This includes delays caused by customs processing or international postal networks.
Shipping timeframes are separate from production lead times and are outside of studio control once an order has been dispatched.
Local pickup
Local pickup is available from Mount Martha, Victoria by appointment only. Pickup is generally available within 2 weeks of order completion.
Handmade nature & client-supplied items
Each piece from Melbourne Creative Studio is individually handmade or hand-finished. As a result, slight variations in placement, texture, tone, and finish are a natural part of the process and are not considered faults. These variations are part of the unique character of custom work.
Where embroidery, embellishment, or detailing is applied to delicate materials such as veils, every effort is made to work with the utmost care and precision. However, due to the nature of handmade work and fine fabrics, minor variations or imperfections may still occur.
Client-supplied items
In some cases, clients may provide their own garments or materials for custom work or embroidery.
While every reasonable care is taken when handling client-supplied items, these pieces remain the property of the client at all times.
By supplying your own item, you acknowledge and accept that:
The item is being worked on at your request
All reasonable care will be taken during handling and production
However, unforeseen damage or issues may occur due to the delicate and pre-existing nature of the item
Melbourne Creative Studio cannot guarantee replacement or compensation for client-supplied items in the event of damage or loss
If any issue arises, every effort will be made to communicate and work towards a fair and reasonable resolution where possible.
